Frequently Asked Questions

The more the better! During busy times I become booked 4 weeks in advance.

Not at this stage.

You absolutely can, however keep in mind that any highly saturated/vibrant colours (Like Red, Royal blue, Black, Dark green plus others) will temporarily stain teeth, and mouth.

Unfortunately, no. To place an order, please contact me via Facebook DM, or email cakesbyla@hotmail.com

Once I've worked out a design and finalised a quote, a $50 deposit is required within 24 hours to secure the booking. If no payment is made, your booking will not be held.

Collection location is Elizabeth Vale, Adelaide. (Specific address will be given once order is paid in full)

Collection times will be discussed when ordering. But generally I offer time slots eg:

Friday 4pm-6pm

Saturday 9am-10am etc.

Have your air-con blasting. If you are collecting alone, I highly recommend you place the cake in the footwell of the front passenger side. This is the most level spot that you can keep an eye on (Plus you won't have to stress about the cake sliding off the seat) And drive with care!

Upon ordering I will provide a copy of a 'cutting guide'. Using this guide, you will get the most out of your cake.

Each cake is slightly different depending on elements used, so specific instructions will be given upon ordering.

Generally speaking, all cakes should remain in the fridge until approx 2 hours prior to serving.

This will allow your cake to get to room temperature before serving.

It's not necessary in cooler weather (or air-conditioned houses) I recommend leaving them out of the fridge on your kitchen counter.

In warm/hot weather you may need to use the fridge, but just keep in mind refrigeration can sometimes cause the cupcakes to slightly dry out.
